Ten Tips On How To Get More Good Traffic To Your Blog

Published by M Turner on

website trafficThere are two things needed to make a good blog – to produce good content and to generate a lot of traffic. When it comes to the first necessity, there are some tips you can follow in order to increase your creativity, but in the end it all comes down to whether you can or can’t write.
Provided you can do so, however, we should get down to the second one – and there are some tips you can follow there.

1. Good content
It may seem unnecessary to mention it, but believe me, you should know about it. Good content is the foundation of creating a good blog – and thus generating a higher audience. No matter how many other tricks you might try to pull out of your sleeve, it’s important to make the visitors stay – and not just go away after reading an article or two. So make sure that your content is foolproof – hire a team if you must – and over time you will see the audience grow.

Furthermore, the greatest ad for your blog is sharing – no matter if it’s online or in mouth-to-mouth conversations. It’s simple – if people like your blog, they tell other people about it. And this is how you build a steady audience.

2. Targeting
We’ll keep discussing the audience and content topics for a while.
After you know what you’re going to write about, you need to pinpoint who are you going to write it for – and that’s extremely important. What kind of people would be interested in your blogs? What kinds of people visit your blogs?

Make them share opinions, if necessary. And after you’ve identified the group of people that likes your writing, you’ll be able to identify what part of your content doesn’t interest them – and you remove that part from your further writings.

3. Keywords
One more point concerning content. The idea behind keywords is simple – you need to know more about the most searched for keywords, concerning your writing topics.

And after that make sure you use them more frequently – this allows the searching engine to filter through unnecessary content more easily, helping you end up higher on the results of the search. If you’re interested, there are many tutorials over the internet you might find interesting.

4. Referencing
Another way to reach bigger audiences is referencing. If you have written a post before that deals with part of the current topic you’re writing about – reference it! If you’re using an image from google or are quoting somebody – reference them as well!

This allows you to create a special web, that allows users to locate your blog a lot quicker, as it is linked to other blogs, sites and so on.

5. Guest blogging
Provided you are an aspiring blogger, you can benefit from the audience a proven blogger already has. That doesn’t mean stealing, of course, just broadening the audience’s interests.
It’s simple, actually – propose to write content for a blogger that is already famous.

Reach out to them, talk to them, explain your situation to them – they are people as well! They can even write something for you as well in return – and this will do you an even bigger favor! Don’t be shy if you believe your ideas – good content is the most important thing when it comes to blogging, so if you have good ideas, don’t be afraid to share them.

pick topic6. Pick your topics
Don’t be afraid to do that. Really. If you feel a certain topic is trending, don’t be afraid to write your own opinion on it if the only reason for not doing so is that everybody else is already sharing it.

People need different viewpoints – and you, as an authentic human being, already have one. So pick your pen up and write down what you have to share on that topic everybody’s going crazy about.

7. Engage your audience
Extremely important. In order for the audience to return to your site, people want to feel valuable – and they are valuable to you, right? So encourage them to share their own opinions on the stories you provide them with, either with comments, sharing, liking, and so on. Make them know that they are important – there’s nothing better of a feel than that.

8. Take a look at your site
Is it visually appealing? Is it easy to navigate through? Does it feel intuitive when using its services?

This could be very useful. People need to know that they have stumbled upon a blog that, besides having great content, is really easy to use. If it’s too complicated, or too hard, or it has bugs, or some posts just don’t pop up – consider changing the entire outlook of your site.

kindle traffic plan9. Kindle 90-day traffic plan
This is an idea, suggested by Neil Patel himself – and it’s quite interesting, so let’s take a look at it.
According to him, if you happen to self-publish a kindle book, you may participate in a program, called “Kindle Direct Publishing Select Program”.

This program allows you to include your book in Kindle Owner’s Lending library that allows users to borrow it and read through it for free. Furthermore you can make a free promotion for five of those ninety days!
If you’re interested in this idea and would love to know more about it, go check Neil Patel’s blog.

10. Paid traffic
Up to now we’ve discussed ways to generate traffic to your blog free of charge – or the so-called organic traffic. But, if all you’ve tried fails to make people come – there is always a paid option. Paying option means you have to pay for advertisements leading to your blog.

There are many platforms that would gladly take your money – Facebook, Twitter, Google Adwords, or different banners.
Don’t be afraid to use paid traffic if you’re new to blogging – you need to get your name out there. But, however, managing to generate organic traffic is much more valuable in the long run.
And there you have it. If we have to be honest, such a thing as a traffic problem doesn’t really exist.

The only problems you may be facing are A) Poor quality content, or B) Not being known.
As you already know, there are ways to fix both of these issues. So get to work and you’ll see your visitors grow in no time!
